I assist high-performing women to manage stress and reduce anxiety, empowering them to become confident and effective leaders with clarity and ease.
While my counseling services are available to South Carolina residents, I am excited to soon provide personalized coaching to clients nationwide.
Although I work with women from many backgrounds, I specialize in professional stress and anxiety. My goal is to equip each woman with lifelong tools to use beyond therapy.
I practice TEAM Cognitive Behavioral Therapy informed by neuroscience, evolutionary psychology, and performance psychology to explore what is triggering your cycle of anxiety and set therapeutic goals based on what is most important to you.
Clients who suffer from chronic STRESS:
often benefit from adopting skills to emotionally-regulate during challenging times, creating personal habits and routines that make them more resilient to stressors,
and building skills such as assertiveness, time-management, and problem-solving that reduce the impact of stress when it inevitably occurs.
Clients experiencing more persistent and excessive ANXIETY:
this work will go further. "High performing" anxiety may be look like perfectionism, worrying, over-thinking, performance anxiety, and/or imposter syndrome. Others may feel overwhelmed by the stressors of daily living and find it impossible to relax. In this case, lasting change will require restructuring the thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors that reinforce negative cycles. We will likely be discussing the cycle of anxiety, facing a fear you have been avoiding, or managing worry, over-thinking, and rumination.
Other clients:
want to use these counseling skills to move beyond suffering and improve performance. They want to learn to change their perspective, clean up 'faulty thinking', increase empathy and improve relationships, monitor self-talk. By harnessing mental skills that have been the hallmark of sports and performance psychology for decades, you can perform optimally at work and at home.
